Raw .357 BROKE makes huge noise and air shoots out back now !

Ok, took the raw .357 out for a shoot. First pellet .357 bang really loud pop right in my ear. After I shook that off i noticed every shot after that the rifle was shooting a blast of air back in my face along with the pellet going out the front. That said, it was way louder.

Anybody know what that is? I have not opened up any of the action or really looked at it since last sunday. I just put it back in the case and shot my other guns. I am thinking some seal or O ring broke out.

Any help would be great ? Monday morning put in a service email to RAW but 5 days later no reply. Sad, makes me feel a bit curious on wanting support work with a gun that costs 2K plus.

I’m sorry to hear that this has been my big concern when buying my FX crown. 2k is a lot to spend, especially for me. I’m young, paying off college and I make 11.50, which isn’t much. the 5 days to get a reply is a tad ridiculous tho I will agree. I really hope you figure it out:/

Sounds like the oring in the breach blew out. Can happen if you fire when probe is not in barrel. This is my opinion based on other rifles i do not own a RAW

Yep, that would be my guess also ... I do not own a RAW ... YET! ... but every time I ever blew out a barrel oring on my Wlldcat or my Marauder it sounded like a shotgun blast. Just open up the breach and take a look inside the rear of the barrel to see if that oring is still inplace. On my Marauder or the Wildcat I simply push a dowel rod through the muzzle to about where the oring is supposed to sit and then put an oring in the back of the barrel and work it around until it sits in it's groove. The dowel rod will keep the oring from getting pushed too far down the barrel .if it misses the groove. Put some silicone grease on the o-ring first.

From what I’ve seen (haven’t actually set eyes on a RAW .357) in .25 & .22 RAWs, they do not have a pellet probe o-ring, think trim and seat style. Sounds like the pellet probe is out of adjustment, possibly damaged pellet probe or some other issue.

that happened to me with my 30 cal and it was the o ring on the bottle itself strange but true if you have spares replace it ,after you may have trouble getting the bottle to hold air to remedy this you fast fill the tank ,slow fill results in air just leaking back out ,got really give it a fast blast PAT

km great link to the bolt adjustment.. as well do you have a link to the tm and bm bold adjustment.. that would be great. as I need to adjust my bolt as I have a bm raw.
