RAW .30 owners please help a member here.

Hey fellas,

I need to know OAL of JSB .30 44.75’s. 
I don’t own one or have any. 
I also would love to know if anyone is shooting slugs with great success what’s the slugs dimensions. OAL, body diameter or bands, tail, nose type & length alone. 
RAW. .30 inleade cut depth. Actual land and groove sizes. Any & all info.

Once I know all that I can get the perfect slug made that can be single loaded in RAW .30 by some poor guy in France who’s trying to stuff a too long slug into a rifle chambered for JSB.30 44.75-50 optimally.

My slug maker Griffin can vary slugs a lot so I know this is capable if I get real measurements. Thanks kindly in advance.

I have a 30 RAW and the JSB pellets as well as Nielsen slugs. I have not had a chance to shoot them but may be able to later today.

I can measure the pellets and slugs for you if that would be a help. Do you want mm or inch measurements

The Neilsen 47.2 slugs that I have are 8.14 mm OAL diameter 7.61 mm 

The JSB 44 pellets are 9.60 mm OAL diameter 7.85

I do not have and 50 gr pellets

Ok, guys, 

I can convert but Frenchy said 65 grain NSA OAL .4” so 15.25 grains per 0.100”.

296” diameter is what he reads his 65 grain NSA’s at. That doesn’t sound right.


@bubblerboy: if I can give me OAL of JSB’s, and specs in inches of a slug if different than the 65 grain above GREATLY appreciated!

I owned a RAW-.30 HM100x as far as barrel mine was a LW 4-groove if I remember right? But easy to tell by pushing pellet thru bore to find land groove dimension also at same time you can check pellet seating depth by pushing pellet straight ( as straight as you can ) into barrel until you feel resistance then push pellet back out of barrel then measure from where land marks start on front of slug to base of slug note it may take several attempts to distinguish from slug dia. Resistance vs. land engagement resistance more than likely a slug will seat much deeper into the lands than a pellet ( if a pellet even gets to the lands? ) I’m sure there’s more educated in this procedure than I

Well we can get .30’s down to .380 not counting a thinner 2S to 6S nose.

I have no idea what inleade of LW .30 or other barrels depths are.
