RATS, forced to buy a compressor

I'm not sure why but that was my guess, the company has been semi-ghosting me. I figure it this way, I'll give Amazon a chance to make right, Or I can return it and order another or say phooey on it and spend whopping $45 or so on the parts. Of course the review is going to be the worst EVER. Well, the gal at Amazon put in the order for the parts I need, ECM, gauge, plus one, just in case...the drain valve seems to leak when it's operating, so just in case. I'm fairly certain it's not from the tank itself.
Ok, chatting with Amazon, it seems that the folks in China need pictures so, pictures they got, I took some pictures from the AliExpress site and used them, plus some of my own, I'm not ripping out the ECU for a picture, the thing still works, just not as it should.

Well, it appears as if Tuxing REALLY wants to make things right, they are sending stuff that I didn't ask for. Parts is parts and parts are good.

On a further note, anyone have a clue if there is a gasket/o-ring on the sump drain plug? I would imagine there would be but....didn't see the need to take mine off prior to filling with oil. Mine is leaking a touch as it's as tight as I'd care to get it.

Yup. Random extra parts in the hopes you will become a service tech to fix it. No there is no gasket. They silicone the sump screw. The sump drain hole is too close to the rib on the cover and the screw head can't sit flat against the cover.

Update, I got the parts I needed in today,, plus some spares after a few choice words for their design team, I got the Electron Control Unit in, fired it up and...oh wow, it ran, did a quick test of the shut off, it works, no need to change it out, filled a 250 bar FX bottle, then a 350 bar bottle, then my Tiger tank 74 ccf from 3,000psi to 4300 psi. I checked the sound level it's at 93db. I did notice that the breather vent was putting out some 'smoke', you can't see it in the daytime but with a head lamp it's there so......beware of indoor use. A further note, I'd filled the oil to mid level, today it was to the top of the gauge...HUH???? I drained a bit out and it looked good. Temp never got above 63c, 141º Even the cooling fans stopped for a bit. I am concerned that there may be a water leak into the crank case. Speaking of water, I had VERY little moisture in the traps, but then I live in a low humidity area.

Royal purple smokes and you can smell it. The bauer oil doesnt and likely the oil Brian recommends wont either. Compressor seems to run cooler with the right oil.
Well, I"ve got enough Royal Purple to last a few years but...I'll give the Bauer a shot, it's only money. Which Bauer do you recommend?

I bought nuvair 751. Cant smell will have to verify with flashlight that it in fact doesn't smoke. It is way better than royal purple because smoke from that one was obvious in my shop. Bought nuvair because the oil Brian recommends wasn't available. Nuvair is local to southern california and sells bauer compressors. Thats how I made my bet and so far very happy. Key is that we don't want our check valves covered in carbon. We need very high temp oil so it doesn't diesel. If crank case smokes the higher temps in cylinders will diesel. One obvious difference is the air no longer smells oily when you bleed the line.

For the tuxing use only second 500 synth oil and only use a gallon of drinking water and 8 capfuls of water wetter in your compressor. Anything else is going to cause problems. Trust me I have 179 hrs on our 032 Tuxing. I have had more compressors in shop for using the wrong oil and cooling chemicals. Using 50/50 mix of anything is going to cause calcium salts to build up in the cooling passages.
Cannot stress this enough.

After reading this thread and thinking about buying a Tuxing all I can say is that a $4,400 compressor doesn't seem that expensive.
Coward, don't you want to live on the edge of Chi quality? Except for the little burp at the beginning it's working well, another 70 fills and it's break even, less if you calculate in travel time, in my case 40 min. round trip.
