Rats are thinning out

Another visit to the rat farm and this time the rats were not that many as before. I guess the previous three visits had made some impact.

My HW100T .22 and Pard008LRF continues to pounce these rats with Baracuda 15. My plan is to try the Hades 16gr next time I go back to see if I would get less pass thru and more knock down power.

@Max115 Enjoyed this one as usual. Number 15 looked like a misty cloud of blood spatter when the pellet passed through and hit the dust. It doesn’t seem like it takes you long to get the numbers down or for the rats to determine that it isn’t safe in the areas that you kill them.

@Ezana4CE. Thank you. I wanted to try out the Hades to see if they would be less pass thru on these rats, but the weather has been crappy and I haven't been back for over 5 weeks now. Hopefully I will return to shoot rats soon.

I have a video shooting the Hades with my HW100T which will be released this Friday. Have a look. In fact, I just received a text last night from the owner about 4 coyotes killed some chickens at his other location when I missed that Coyote#4. So this weekend will be my attempt to hunt these coyotes with my Impact shooting either the Redesign or the new Gen2 H&N 27gr slug.

@Max115 I am definitely interested in in seeing the rat shooting video with the Hades as well as another coyote pesting video. If they’re killing poultry, I hope you are able to dispatch them soon. Do you know how the coyotes are getting to the chickens? Did he tell you if they dug into the roosting or feeding area? Or are these warehoused chickens in large commercial barns?

@Ezana4CE. Farmer told me the coyotes a pack of 4 have been roaming on his property in broad daylights. They killed 5 out of 8 chickens that were kept outside inside enclosed wire housing. I guess they dug up the ground and gained access. These chickens are for personal use only. I will be going there later tonight to set up my blind like before, inside a barn looking into the yard. Distance to target area should be only around 30-40 yards. Also, rats at this location have gone out of control as well. So my plan is to tag some rats and bait them as before. Friday or Saturday night will be the night to ambush these coyotes if they show up, that is. As they come into this area day and night. I will also be setting up my trail cam to help me monitor the activity as well. Lets see if I get lucky this time. Coyote4 video was where I missed one at this location. So if I tag one this will be the first at this location. Fingers crossed.

@beerthief. Thanks. Perfect scenario actually. I shoot the rats and then place them at a designated location where I try to ambush them.

@Ezana4CE. Just got back from setting up my blinds, left 3 rats I shot quickly at the spot in front of the trail cam. Hopefully I will get some footages tomorrow night when I return and maybe begin the stalking. By the way, the hades 16gr was devastating to the rats I shot at 10 yards. Hit the brain and I could hear a loud pop then blood everywhere. This was the first time I saw so much blood from the hades vs AA. I guess it really did the damage internally. Anyway, will see what happens tomorrow night and Saturday night.
