I have no problem with my old neighbors. There's some new neighbors that just moved in to a house that's divided into studio apartments and they were outside chilln'. Just don't want to attract unwanted attention lol.

Great pics man!, you're putting in work."Peskadot671"Finally had a chance to shoot some of these dirty vermin earlier tonight. I shot 3 but the pics show there's only 2. The first one I shot, he kept moving around and I guess I didn't get him in the right spot. He slowly stumbled away from my shooting position towards the street. I tried to follow him with my gun but they were neighbors around so I had to stop. Then this stray cat comes along and snatches the injured fella. True story lol. Here's the other two I shot.

Thanks Glem. It can get tiring sitting still behind the gun in my firing position. Eyes get strained, neck gets soar. I'm sitting in total darkness and silence with ambient light coming from the street lights watching shadows run back and forth. The things we do lol.

Down the road if you're into the "rat scene" you should look into getting a Nitesite unit, they're so good. I have one that I got used that's probably 6 years old NS50 and it's very easy to scan areas. I just sit it on a swivel tripod and just finger tips at the back to swivel it around and scan for eyes.

The Nitesite is definitely on my list. I just have to put a little play money on the side and I'll eventually get one.

Correct, I am totally reliant on my nite site equipment. Would never be without it now. You have day pesting and now night pesting opens up with this equipment. You can always have that air rifle in your hands! What else would any one want.

One more to the count. This one was unexpected, I was done for the night, so I took the shot I had in the chamber at a piece of wood the this one showed up just to give me a good shot. After I got it went down Right in the spot, I went inside the house to get a bag to dispose de carcass and when I get close I saw some breathing movement, I checked it and it was a good hit, right in the forehead, it's was kind of wierd because there was alot of Blood, so I took a follow up shot to heart just in case, has someone has seen this before?

Rio what power gun you shooting? I shoot on farms where I do not turn my gun down so 50ft/lbs rocks there world. It will go head to butt through 5" rats. No breathing after that. Some accidental body shots stop them so I follow up with another so no suffering .

It's a hw35 at 14 yards really don't know the speed cause I don't have a chrony but it's very consistent and the body shot at that distance was a pass through

I have read that depending the part of the brain you hit is the reaction of the body this rat didn't move at all after the first shot and I've seen in some videos the body goes crazy jumping around after a head shot

Well that was nice rat, stay on them. I should have went out last night but 97° in NC yesterday I was already smoked from being out all day. Maybe I work the little boogers tonight.

Wow 4 in one night that was good shooting!, How did number 3 react? That was just about the same shot placement I did on my last one

Yeah i've had some good hits that I looked a few minutes later and still breathing or tail moving. I'm shooting at about 14FPE because of noise, depends how tough they are. Some roll over and never move, some hop and dance for a minute. I'd love to unleash 60FPE on them but in the teens seems to work almost as well.
