Ranger XR first impressions

My Brocock Ranger XR arrived yesterday. I had just enough time to unbox it after a sixteen hour shift. My complaints are nitpicky, but here goes.

The cocking lever rests atop my knuckle. I'll have to figure out a solution to this.

The folding stock has a slight wiggle when locked. Minor, but annoying at this price point.

A bit of plastic or something is rattling around in the buffer tube. Again, minor.

Plusses: it does appear well made.

Plenty of rails to hang tacticool stuff on.

It came with a single shot tray as well as a magazine.

Extra breech seals and probe seals are included.

It's tiny. I wanted compact and that's exactly what I got.

The 0db suppressor is a nice addition.

Once I decide on how to scope it I'll see if I can match the test target.

Wow,Thank you for the pictures, I See your problem,my hand is about 5'8" lower on the grip than yours, you sir must have big hands.....

I think the lever is a easy enough fix,the non locking stock is a defect.

I believe the the stocks are interchangable on the Ranger and the Concept.

There is a Brocock fan club that may be able to help out.

I would certainly call the company and tell them your problems, they need to be fixable.

Dog gone, you may have to get some other PCP that going to fit you,now you can be aware of the problem you may have with other lever actons

Try putting the lever handle on the top, but, there still may be a problem because now your cheek may be too close.

What a bummer for you,new rifle and the disappointment that follows....

I wish the XR series was lefty friendly....I really feel it is one of the better Hunter style PCP .One has to be comfortable in shooting whatever rifle they are shooting.

Hoping a best out come for you.Wait a minute I just notice there is an extention on the bottom of your lever!

No wonder your hand is hitting it,mine does Not have the grooved bottom part...that said it shows me there are other style levers for it.

Easy fix....Call Brocock for sure and explain your disappointment to them, they should fix it for you.Maybe tell them to "read" your post on the air gun forum...

L. Leon,

I'm just a bit irked over spending$1700 on a pellet rifle and it not being useable. I had hope when I was transferred to a technician, but it was just to leave another voice mail.

The charging handle issue may be that my gun was an early one. A tag on the box says July. Pictures on the website show a shorter handle on the lever. I can modify mine very easily.
