Range Finder Recommendations

I'm working with a budget of about $200+ 10% for a decent range finder, I don't know if stabilized, illuminated can be purchased in that range, would be nice but I don't want to sacrifice good function and optics at the expense of cheaply added "frills".

I wasn't too successful doing a search on this particular board for prior recommendations but I gather from just looking at various websites that Buhnell, Nikon, Leupold and doggone it if a few of the Halo's don't pop up as very popular.

First hand experience as an owner is of course preferred, but if there is something really good and new out there I'd like to hear about it.

BTW I don't need one that reaches out to a 1000yds..(well, unless this AA XS I'm breaking in is really HOT! lol) I'll be using it for max distances of about 400 yards and thats for another ranging application entirely.

Thanks,

George

The Leupold RX650 isn’t to bad and the only complaint I have is in low light it’s kinda hard to read but other then that it does the job, I also have a Nikon Aculon that I won at a sportsman chili feed that works pretty good, think the Nikon is good to about 500-600 yards reflective and the RX is 650 yards reflective.

Hate auto spell correct sometimes, Leopold should of been Leupold.
