Hello All,
I'm still new and green so maybe this isn't any issue at all but it did get me thinking. I recently got the Air Venturi Avenger 25 Bullpup 2. I'm mounting the optic and have a single piece a cantilever mount. I first mounted it back on the rail when I noticed the top rail on this rifle is a cantelever and goes a few inches back unsupported. It does allow some flex although it really is quite stable.
Stable or not, I decided to reverse the mount so it attaches directly to the hard fixed point of the rail. I think it'll actually be better as now I have a small spot behind the mount to stick a 45 offset reflex. Just a thought.
All that said, now that I did it I'm thinking this is a seemingly well built rifle and that rail I would guess is perfectly fine either way.
I'd appreciate any thoughts out there? I'm learning as I go so it's all helpful.
