R9's first squirrel

May 24 - First day of spring squirrel season and first squirrel for the new R9, head shot complete pass through. A lot of leaves on the trees and a lot of underbrush make hunting difficult this time of year, only one I saw.

Hi Teep, the woods this year are thicker than I remember in a while. Lots of leaves and darker due to the heavy shade. Lucky you have reds in your area, I only have greys and lots of them. Mark

I've got a mix, I prefer to eat the grey's but take what I can get. The lighted crosshairs really helps in the dense woods.
