R9 irons. .. maybe a lesson

Burrr.... So taking moring coffee shots at just 50'. I had the 2 flyers. Thing is them 2 pellets were ones that i just carelessly loaded . They were kinda crooked bit i just thumbed them in instead of seating them straight in the leade. I assume the softer daisy flathead pellets heads got marred just enugh to sail them off. Oh well a miss is a miss.

R9, stock irons, daisy black box flathead .177, 50 feet. Colder and windy ,burrr..

That’s sounds fun to me, I’ve been wanting a good gun with good iron sights for a while. I’m thinking about the HW50S in .22
The R9/HW95 and 50S are both solid guns. The size and weight of the 50 is really nice especially if you're on the smaller side. If you really want a nice irons gun the 35E has a bit of a lower comb and shoulders a bit better for them.

I guess the like thing aint working so 2 likes to aboves...lol

Uglyjohn ( i think is his handle) hed shooting a hw95 irons and does well with it. I have pretty good luck with my springers on irons i rarely optic them no scopes or peeps . One thing for sure is i dont miss that scopes on a springer cha$e . Lol. Saddly giys just jump stright to a scope or somthing and not shoot irons . They may find its near just as good with a good gun. I do anyway..

Like thing is working now...

R9 in .177 is an excellent adult sized AG. I'm a scope guy due to my old eyes, and have shot some amazing groups with it at 45 yards. Light weight, great balance, hard to beat.
R7 , to small for me, but it's a really nice low power gun, 7 ftlbs. I shot many a barn pigeon at night with it using wad cutters. Excellent kid gun, I gave mine away to a deserving 11 year old, son of a fishing buddie, the smile on his face was ear to ear.
Basically, you want a gun to fit your body size so repeatable accuracy is attainable.
Both guns are really nice little springers.

Im 60 and welder/pipe, structural fitter. I caught a lot of arc flash in mine over the years. I do think computer screens do more eye damaged then anything. Anyway my vision past arms length is ok , at or under not so great.

Only thing i got a peep on is a powder burner . A lyman. Its o k i guess. I just never been a optics guy over all . A take it or leave it thing i guess.

Yeah thats the gist of it. Fit is important. Just to make sure there isn't any confusion though, the R7 is an HW30S and not the bigger HW50S that I had mentioned in my comment. Definitely a notable size and power difference between the two.

A gun that sholders well and comfortable is jard to find. Most i got like that i lucked into.

Late last shots of the day at dusk i tried this kinda bulls. Kinda struggled some. Unlike the one above i "fixed" to give a more clear defined aim point to aim at with naked eye.

Same gun/ pellets as above and all
Oh well could of been worse

I'll try this fix next weather permitting . Same target with a added aim point
