[Hateful McNasty]

You always hear the effective range of a hw springer is 30-50y

So this poor thing was bouncing around at the 100y rack ( 95-100y) so for fun i just took a hail mary pot shot and flipped him over to belly up mode ..

So ya, a springer .177 has enugh but o one shot insto kill to 100y. ( if i wanted to kill the poor thing id never hit him in 50 shots )

So had to send ruff to go get it .

He looks a little disgruntled and told me in this humid weather to please keep things at around 30y

Just a drop in arh hornet spring and one of his seals and my usual cphp tin pellets .. ol'Ruff is so uncouth he says he dont need cleaning or grease to eat'em . Prefers them as is..

Thanks . The term on the tip of my tongue i wanted to use above was " dumb luck " shot ..lol.

I get them now and again . Crazy , just threw up shot to scare him and ended up rolling him over stone dead .. im like you got to be kidding ....

Ruff does ok on the get it and bring it part . Sometimes he can be selfish on the drop it part , but did fine today .

Love Ruffs’ yowling/howling stance, my Riley does the same when the firehouse claxon goes off. Or when keeping hawks and crows from invading the “air rights” over the house… Always makes me chuckle… silly dogs and their old men.

He's doing a good job so far lol. I think I've gone for more walks for no other reason than walking in the last 2 days than I did the whole last year combined
