R7 Auction Find

Got a lucky bid in on this mint R7. It's a hard to find San Rafael "pre-safety" model. This version seems to be the most sought after of the old Beeman variants. This one came with both the open sites and an old Beeman SS1 scope...including the often missing eye cup.
As you all know, I have a soft spot for these little airguns. I may have paid more than I should have, but i couldn't resist!!!! Sound familiar!?!!! Lol 😆 🤣
Here's a couple of pictures. Kindly feel free to share your R7 pictures and stories.
Enjoy!!

Nowhere near as old and probably overpaid a bit on an Ebay auction but Huntington Beach R7 .20 caliber. Came across it after the girlfriend saw me looking at a newer version on PA and asked if I wanted one. Whole story is a bit longer than that, but she won the auction and I got the HB R7 .20 as an anniversary present.
Both girlfriend and rifle are definite keepers :)

Hang on to her!!!! Beautiful. 20!!!! You don't see many of those. You're a lucky man!!

Got this Santa Rosa at auction for $250. Perfect condition. Nice straight grain. It had an RWS scope but I gave it this nice NIB vintage Bushnell Sportview. Very clear scope.View attachment 347022View attachment 347023

What a great find!!! Some of those old RWS scopes are nice. Model 300 and 400 in glossy are very classy. They were produced in Japan by Hakko. Same guys who did Blue Ring and Blue Ribbon for Beeman.

No, it was not a Japan RWS. Korea or something. Maybe even China. I have a Japan RWS with the so called Wide Angle view and had another until I sold it for more than it was worth IMO because there is no longer any support. Yeah, the Japan RWS were Hakko and so is the Japan Tasco Airgun scope. I just had a Hakko Tasco crap out on me. It was getting cloudy anyway. Thirty + years ago Hakko was making scopes for lots of companies (Swift). I sold all but one of my Beeman scopes that I had amassed. I do not like the blue trim paint. Gaudy in my opinion. The various "Wide Angle" scopes were supposed to make you think you were watching TV?
This Beeman sure looks like a Bushnell Sportview
