R7 10 dimes

Finished up mowing and the wind was pretty mild so I broke out the R7 and shot a few 10 dimes. First time shooting it at 25yds mostly due to the high winds we’ve had for the last month or so.

Beeman R7 with Maccari tune

25 yards

66 degrees

wind 6-8mph but my barn was blocking pretty much all of it from my 6-7.

All shots were shot free recoil with Caldwell adjustable front rest and rear squeeze bag.

Very good shooting! Aren’t these guns fantastic? So very satisfying to cock load and shoot, and accurate too.

Thanks and yes for such a small feeling pellet gun they shoot amazing especially at 20yds and in. I’ll usually take it and my HW97 out to the barn to shoot and end up shooting it the most. My HW97 shoots a lot better and is more forgiving to shoot off the bench but something about these little R7/HW30’s just makes them so fun to shoot.

Have the R7 .177 myself (and one in .20...lol). Crazy weather here in NY lets up, I'll have to try mine again only with the R-10 Match Heavies this time instead of the H&N's I did it with the first time.

Nice shooting :)

Mine shoots the R10’s pretty good with the exception of one thing. I’m about half way through this tin and it’s done it 4 times now. It’ll drop a shot 2.5-3” low out of the blue. The first time it did it I thought I’d broken a coil on my spring but it’s only done it those 4 times and only with the R10’s. It’s a low shot every time. I haven’t went through the rest to see if I could see anything. Don’t know if it’s damaged pellets or a mfg. defect or what but it’s definitely weird.

Bought mine on a "too good to pass up" deal from a member on another forum. I've only managed testing with 5 pellets so far and the R-10's were actually the second best of the 5 I tried and knock on wood, no fliers yet anyway. The best of those first 5, while I have a small stash, I can't recommend since those were H&N Sniper Medium pellets and they were discontinued a couple years ago.

I have others, weather permitting, to go try and I'd like to think I'll find a few more. Mine also makes a nice deterrent for keeping hosp's away from the feeders out back...lol.
