Beeman R1 Compression tube seam variation.

It's a manufacturing process. The ears and transfer port end plug were machined as one piece and brazed to the main tube. You can see the joint around the end of the compression tube. This raises some questions. Some early Hw35s assembled this way had large voids in the joint that would reduce power greatly. I wonder if that's why they switched processes

So you think there is a variant line of "gapped" (or what ever it's being called) compression tube R1's and it's significant somehow? It also went from R1's to 35's and now R8's???
I didn’t say anything about significant. My life isn’t all that exciting. Noting the difference was at most interesting. I, when I brought you into the conversation in the other thread didn’t expect your nose to get out of joint. I really expected to learn something from you. You are the one that chose to label it a flaw. I think I have proven that it is a variation of sorts even if nothing more than a cost cutting measure.
