looking for any feedback or opinions on this company, i was looking to get a taipan veteran long or a vulcan 2 tactical. not many stores carry these guns. i have seen R&L airgun and Talon Tunes. so, any vulcan or taipan owners with any feedback?
My experience mirrors the above post. Mine had a nice little group which I was able to duplicate!! I suppose the real question is would I buy from them again—- yes without a doubt.
I have bought from both and my experience with Rl was good. Shipping was right away and got product as described. Talon tune I’ve bought from them a couple of times and I had to call several times to remind Tony to ship my stuff. Taipan veteran shorty was great as he described and sent a shot string with it. Other than that I think they are great.
Let me be the fifth to recommend R&L! I took a trip to Colorado to visit my daughter and stopped in and bought a Veteran from them. Matt at R&L was very knowledgeable about the Taipans and for that matter, just about every other airgun known to man. He spent 2 hours with me reviewing the Vulcan 2, Cricket, and Taipans. I don't think you can go wrong with them.
I bought my last Vulcan2 in .25 from Matt at R&L and couldn't be happier about 2 months ago. We talked for over an hour about it and what shot best in it. I wanted something to go along with my .22 Vulcan, BOTH will shoot 1/2" at 50 yards with no problem. And both guns I lowered my two stage trigger pull to 4 oz, damn I love a light trigger. All my varmint PBs have 2 oz triggers. When I asked Matt how much to ship, he said what are you talking about, we ship for free! Done deal and I had in in a week. I'd go with R&L....just saying
To balance things out a bit illI share my negative experience. I purchased an Aeon 10-50 HD scope from R&L last year. The scope had a couple noticeable artifacts on the reticle. I tried to contact both R&L and Aeon about getting a replacement but never heard back after several attempts. The lack of customer support left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be doing business with them again.
On top of that, when I posted the scope for sale, an eagle-eyed forum member noticed the box read "Aeon Opical" instead of Aeon Optical. I don't know if I was sold a counterfeit scope or not, but R&L gave me the silent treatment about my inquiry on that as well.
They are great, I have several guns from them. They have a large selection of guns and will do what they can to get you what you need if not in stock.
Randy and Matt will take the time to answer any questions you have and are stand up guys. My son has the veteran long .25 from R&L and it is a great gun.
Btw, think about attending the annual fun shoot it is a blast.
