Quieting down the Yong Heng

Which inverter generator is a modified sine wave?

I ran the Daystate LC-110 (a capacitor start 120V 14.5 amp motor) from a Honda EU3000 inverter generator, but it is a pure sine wave type. I want to try it on an EU2000 or a pair of paralleled EU2000's but haven't yet. They are also pure sine.

Modified Sine Wave inverters are incompatible with certain types of loads.

It wouldn't run on mine which is a brand called Sportsman 3600Ws or my buddy's paired Ryobis. Both of which are half of what a Honda costs. And now I see at least one reason why they do cost so much more than the cheaper units, and that's because they are Pure Sine Wave Invertors, instead of Modified Sine. I've had mine for several years now and the YH is the first thing it wouldn't run. Motor just buzzes. It will run the RV's 13,500 BTU AC easily. And as I said it runs fine off a 2500/3500W Pure Sine Invertor. Which BTW cost almost as much as an EU2000.
