Quick Qs on Air Venturi Nomad 2 vs GX. Thanks

A friend let me try his minty Air Venturi Nomad 2 compressor. He had less than 20 fills on it before putting it aside due to a major accident that redirected his life. I tested it to 4500 psi on one fill and it seems amazingly sophisticated with the auto shut off with user selectable psi, load gauge, oil hole, moisture release valve, separate on/off and power reset button (why do they do this?), external replaceable fuse, double foam filter, and other features. I oiled it up and ran it to 4500 psi and the auto shut off was nice.

I already have a simple compressor, the GX E-L2, that is battery operated. I've not used that much as I am not a heavy PCP user - just more for the very occasional pesting at this point. But even with limited use, I really like the battery operated feature as I can just put it on my desk and not have to find a wall outlet. The GX is as basic as basic comes with the one key advantage of being battery operated.

Question: Is the Nomad 2 still a good unit and is it some how better than the GX E-L2 other than the presettable pressure shut off? If he offers, should I keep the Nomad 2 instead?

Thanks for any help.
