Quick question! besides from getting the .25 breech and barrel, to go from .177 to .25 I would need the .25 valve as well right?
yeah i forgot that too. thanks for the answer!"mag13"I'm pretty sure you do and also the bolt.
Hey John, Yeah I have a gen 2 marauder. I've seen that it is easier to change calibers with the gen 2 due to the flexibility of the parts."spysir"Gen 1 or 2 ? Original Gen1 ( may have changed after a couple of years? Someone will know) had a different valve for the .177/ .22 and the .25. A preformance gain could be had switching in the .25 valve.
Sometime ( ??? ) before the Gen2 model the valves were unitized with all cal. being the same.
Transfer port may be different?
John
Yeah I'm seeing the price I have to pay steadily increasing I might just settle and turn it into a .22. It is much easier to convert to that."T3PRanch"Air Venturi Sells a single valve for .177 and .22.
They sell a different valve for the .25
Both look identical externally but have different internals.
The .177 / .22 valve will work in the .25 but it will not develop as much power as the .25 valve.
I priced out the conversion parts 2 years ago and the cost was not worth it to me when new Marauders can be had at Cabelas and other Big Stores (Buds Gun Shop, Grab A Gun) for as little as $350 on occasion.
