does anybody on here have any experience with the tanks from aliexpress? or ebay? while i am still waiting for my scope rings from airgundepot i am thinking about ordering a tank as that hill mk4 pump is better then the benjamin it is still no fun .

About a month ago I ordered one it has been delayed by the Chinese New Year holiday it’s in the hands of fedex and I should have it by next week. When I was looking it was the best deal I could find on a 9l tank with valve and hose and a base so it can stand upright. They also has a 6.8 l for a bit less. I also ordered as a option a carry strap with tank rest

Patp, yes, I have experience with the SCBA tanks on eBay, but not the AliExpress or Chinese non DOT tanks. The ones from China, both AliExpress and eBay are CE certified. Unfortunately, most Dive or Paintball shops in the USA will not fill them. So if you have your own compressor, then its a possible good deal. If not, then not so much. You can buy a good used SCBA tank with a few years of service left for under $150. And then a fill rig from eBay for about $50 or so. The service life on all the carbon fiber tanks is 15 years, with a hydro required every 5 years.

Patp - I bought my 6.8L tank from Acecare Tech on aliexpress. No issues at all. I do think a used SCBA tank from a fire dept is a great way to go - but if you want something brand new (and not DOT certified) - these cf tanks are great.
