I've seen the Impact in stock. You have to go to a stocking retailer.
One of the issues is that a lot of the retailers aren't real stores. They are virtual stores - I.e. A website front end without a single air rifle in stock. You order through their web portal and it goes straight to the distributor and it is then sent out to you without the store ever touching it.
The virtual stores never order any Impacts until the customer places the order so you have to wait your turn in the manufacturing line. A stocking retailer places the order months ago so when their order arrives, they have product to sell for a while.
one of the retailers who is a sponsor on this site had Impacts in stocks for at least 3 weeks and might still have them. I haven't checked today but they did still have them last week when I looked.
If any of the info on production numbers people have been talking about on this site are correct, then demand for the Impact isn't quite as spectacular as you might think. The total air gun market is very small and $2,000 pcp rifles is a tiny fraction of it. Lower cost guns like the Marauder and Discovery outsell it many times over. Either way, high end PCP guns shouldn't be mass produced. You want care and attention to go into each one. That is what you are paying for.
