Question On Beeman 2027

I just got a Beeman 2027 and I'm trying to improve the trigger. As received from the factory the trigger was to be frank, awful. It was easily in the neighborhood of 10 pounds pull. The first stage has a very long travel, and the second stage has a considerable amount of creep. I can only see one adjustment screw and I have turned it all the way in. The improvement was significant from a relative standpoint, with the trigger improving from awful (and almost unusable) to bad (but usable).

I love everything else about this gun. I easily get 50 shots that are in the flat spot of the power curve per fill. I only have to fill it up to 2500 PSI because of the tune I have, so I can easily use a handpump if I want, which makes it much easier to take into the field or a range that does not have electricity. It is very accurate from a rested position, but I have to really take my time and stage my trigger pull. So in short, I really want to like this gun, but the trigger makes it very difficult to shoot it offhand which is the whole reason I bought it.

I've searched YouTube for videos, but only found how to adjust the screw that I already turned in. I will likely buy a longer screw to get it a little lighter, but the travel is still pretty bad. Any suggestions regarding videos or instructions on how to decrease the travel and/or improve the trigger would be greatly appreciated.

ETA: I should have posted this in the air pistol forum, sorry it's late and I had a brain fart.

I will be installing a longer screw to lighten the trigger weight but unfortunately that won't do anything for the travel and the creep. I'll probably have to take the trigger apart to see how I can take up some of the slack. I would like to resolve the issue without voiding the warranty, but I may end up drilling a hole for a second adjustment screw to push the trigger back some.

You are probably correct, I never bothered to look into the warranty. I would probably be on the hook for shipping at the very least. I only paid $107 bucks for it, so I'll probably just dive in and whatever happens, happens. If I had to do it over again, I think I would spend the extra money and get the Diana Bandit.
Well i think you got a deal and its worth that easy.. also just getting out there and shoot it and let the new ware off the trigger / working parts can do wonders .. few 100+)- shots may make it smooth as butter. That let it settle in to its own thing.
