Question…NE Dairies and summer pest populations…when peak?

Okay, I am now in New Hampshire and probing for new permissions. I have been doing drive bys on some dairies and well, the pest birds seem a bit lacking compared to my western counterparts. I know that it is mid summer lots of food around for birds etc, so the dairy food supply isn’t as critical to the “devil’s spawn” like the starling. However, I expected to see a few more birds than what I have.

Am I missing something or is it just the “slow session” and if so, please advice this neophyte to New Hampshire on summer options to let the me see some action. Or is it just hit and miss like always?

Thanks in advice

I'm in Ne North Dakota. I'm on 1000 acres and normally see so many pest birds it's ridiculous, but drove a good portion of the property today and didn't see hardly any ground squirell or targetable birds outside the normal doves/starling on the grain silos today.

While I was thinking I'd have plenty of targets for my new Flash pup today, I only managed 1 ground squirell and 3 doves.

I am chalking it up to being miserable hot today. I know most all creatures are active early and evening in these conditions. Mayne they are just waiting to come out and play for a cooler day?
