defeats the propose of a pistol,I know it makes a good carbine,butt why not just get a Bullpup?
Question,I see a lot of people putting stocks on pistols,I would think that

For my use, I wanted something not too powerful for shooting inside barns and structures. My mini carbine is easy too shoot in tight spaces and at odd angles. Also, while I can shoot a pistol, I like the increase range and hit ratio I get with the stock attached. And I believe my rig is much, much lighter than most, if not all bull pups. 240 rats at least and counting.

If you leave the stock on all of the time I would agree with you. I don’t have this option for any of my air pistols I did have it on my S&W 686 .357 with a 6” barrel which I would hunt with in wooded areas the kill shot was usually less than 50 yards which using a 2 handed grip I would handle without a problem. But when the need arose I could attach my stock and then I was good to 200 yards using magnum loads.
So using the same logic with air pistols 20 yards or less no stock more than 20 with stock. This would vary based on skill of shooter.

It could be looks, it could be function, it could be ergonomics or it could be performance or just simply something different than what’s out there.
I already have a pistol that I am happy with and I think it would be a great carbine rifle. It’s a lot less expensive to add a stock to what I already have than to buy a bull pup. Then I always have the option to swap it from a pistol to a carbine as my needs/desires change. It’s great to have options, just like sights. This is a hobby for me so it’s not purpose/function driven. It’s entertainment not a tool.

Not sure If the Leshiy is a pistol with a buttstock or a short barreled folding rifle. In fact I don't care it's one of my favorite guns.

Pistols are lighter than the Bull Pups, cost less and generally lower powered. The Benjamin Pistol Marauder (P-rod) is an excellent example. It is roughly 1/2 the weight of my bull pup, slightly shorter and about 1/3 the power output. It is whisper quiet, too. There are times that a small, discrete and easily handled tool is the better choice.

not sure how a .357 mag has much to do with this but ok
now the bottom line is 100 people are going to 100 different thing, some of those will not suit some but other will love them, I see that all the time with show and tell on forums
now some of the pistols that once were above have been transformed into a rifle but there pistol start might be there but they are no longer pistols
so there have been some posts on a shoulder stock for a 717-747 pistol and the people love what they did and others said great job but I just scratch my head a wonder why
for myself I don't care, people don't care what I do, so should we care, it might be odd to some
but if I remember right you mentioned some about green and I like red better

Makes me wonder why I have the stock on my WW Prod. I guess because its still super lite and I can get a little more accurate range out of it. Having both rotator cuffs repaired, its hard to hold my rifles without a rest. My bullpups are nice to shoot freehand. But 1 week into another cuff repair, I find it nice to be able to shoot my PP700 left handed. I guess I like the shortness of a pistol barrel. But the extra accuracy of a stocked gun without the weight of even a bull pup. I have no reason why I am all over the place with my shooters. I guess it’s my version of playing dress-up with Barbie dolls!

I see pistol-to-carbine conversions kind of as the more traditional ancestors of bullpups... but cheaper, and with more SOUL!
