Can I use a gauge from an FX dream-tac...and install it on an FX Impact MK1? Will it work? It’s a little smaller than the usual FX Impact gauge.

Yes, the gauge swap will work.
All FX gauges have the same threads, 1/8" BSP.
The "smaller silver gauges" such as the Dreamline gauges are 23mm (Uses a 22mm wrench/socket)
The gauges that are typically at the end of the airtube, or on the Crown/Royale, are 25mm (uses a thin 11mm open end wrench)
The Impact MKII gauges are 28mm (Uses a 27mm wrench/socket)
