Question for Daystate Pulsar owners....

I got my new Daystate Pulsar today. I found this item inside the grip - what is it?

Mine, a Saxon .22 HP, has the same thing in the grip. I'm not sure what it is either. Mine also has the rechargeable battery and the updated GCU 2.0 electronics, per an addendum included with the manual. Does yours have this?

If you go to daystateownersclub.com you can enter your serial number and find out a build date. I haven't tried it though.

How do you open it? I already broke a fingernail. Haven't used it yet. It is the newest model with the included charger. Just Curious.

On the side opposite the hinge there is a small nub. Press in on the nub with something like a screwdriver, punch, etc. Once the nub is pressed inward the door will spring open. I don't think its possible to open with just your hand.

Hey JB486 - mine also has the GCU 2.0 electronics. I’ll check the build date info out. I also sent a pic of the mysterious item to AoA for an ID.

If the Daystate test report shows 1/2020 it’s a good bet the rifle was built sometime around December or January. Nice!

I was looking at a Pulsar too but I was afraid of getting old stock and wanted a new model.

Try putting the rechargeable battery in it. Maybe it's a spare battery holder or for folks uneasy about storing or shipping the gun while the battery is still connected to that circuit board IDK mine doesn't have it for me to try it for myself for fitment.

The rechargeable battery is a lot bigger than the mysterious plastic piece in the grip.

Well, I found exactly where it fits but I still don’t know what it is for. When I got the gun, the piece was floating around inside the grip. After looking at the notches inside the grip and the shape of the piece, I discovered that it fits exactly in the back of the grip as pictured. Some protrusions on the piece align it inside the grip. The only thing I can figure is that it adds some compartmentalization to the grip for carrying small items; maybe even loose pellets. The grip compartment is very difficult to open; a screwdriver or similar item to depress a nub is required.
