Question for D48, D54 and D56 owners (177 cal)

What pellet are you having success with? Just got a D56 177 cal and having trouble finding a pellet it likes. So far the best I've tried is the Benjamin Discovery 10.5 hollow point. I'm not sure if these are still made or not. I tried the AA 10.3. Crosman metal tin 10.5 & 7.9 and brown box 10.5 &7.9, RWS 8.3, Eujin 16 gr, H&N copper Field Target 8.64 and 13 gr Monsters. These are all that I have on hand at the moment.

.......... bad things seem to happen when i use those .177 benjamin discovery pellets (10.5 gr heavy w/ the little dimple they call a hollowpoint) , and the .177 pirahnas tumped even worse ( they were like $5 at walmart - so, yeah)...... believe it or not , the 9.7 grain winchester domes work well out of the .177 dianas i have had.... and the .177 premiers in the box , both 10.5 and 7.9 grains (or if you find a webley labeled can of these domed ones - they are consistent in size , or were).... most of my experience is with diana 48's and 52's in all 4 calibers... the sled guns were heavy (54)... in piston guns i have - when all else frustrates - h&n ftt and baracudas are usually a safe bet....especially in diana and hw's..... in diana magnums , i found jsb to be also accurate - but they lost power. i reckoned the skirts blew (soft lead). it's strange they really do best for me in pcp/co2 types.. - paul.

I want to get some because they shoot well in my 177 cal D56. I wouldn't worry about any pellet expanding when used on small game because they don't have enough mass to cause a pellet to expand. Also, Crosman is known to add some metal to cause their pellets to be harder than most lead pellets so this will reduce expansion even more. I've never seen Discovery 10.5 gr pellets sold at Walmart. Even PA and Airgun Depot stopped selling them a while ago. I haven't seen them sold on eBay or Amazon either except in the variety pack. I have a lot of 10.5 domes Crosman pellets, but haven't seen the 10.5 HP pellets.
