I ordered the gx hand pump off Amazon. Up on receiving the pump I notice it was covered in oil, clean all that off and notice it was coming from a hole in the psi gauge which was full of it. It all leaked out threw that hole. Tested it with the hose capped and it pumps to 200bar no problem. I watched an unboxing on YouTube and it looks like the psi gauge is suppose to be full of oil, but his didn’t leak out. Do I have a problem? Really don’t want to go threw the hassle of returning it.

Oh I see what happened now, I found the plug for said hole laying in the box. I guess I’m good I will fill that will some mineral oil and I should be good to go.

Yeah it’s not a big deal either way. Glycerin-filled gauges are to help deal with harsh vibration and pulsing pressure changes of a sort absent in the life of a hand pump.
