Question about my FX dreamline cocking

New the the FX and to the sport so I may have trouble even asking the question I have. On two or three occasions when I am shooting the tact when I pull the trigger there is a release of the trigger but the gun does not fire. There is a real ease of some kind and the cocking lever jump out of the closed position. I know that I closed the lever because I take the magazine out, recock and the gun fires a pellet. What is happening?

I can’t fix your issue without the gun in front of me, but I can almost guarantee that the problem revolves around the trigger and sear assembly. It is probably an issue with the trigger settings / assembly, tiny spring in the trigger bar, or something to that effect. My advice would be to carefully dissemble the trigger mechanism and then carefully reassemble it properly and see if you can solve the problem. If not send it in to FX USA they’ll definitely fix you up! Here is a few videos that can guide you on the disassembly, reassembly, and setting the trigger and make sure its all right as rain.

Make sure it is not the side shot magazine. The issue that I experienced was that the pellet cycling was sticky, and thus not shooting the pellet. I had to loosen the screw in the back.

I had a similar problem when my Dreamline was new, turns out it was the trigger had too much side to side slop. I added a small, thin washer to each side of the pivot pin and it fixed the problem.
