I have watched the videos on Youtube and everyone says to back the sear engagement off to get a lighter pull. However the book says to turn it the other way . What gives?

Do you reckon somebody could be wrong. I tried to back it off and can't see any improvement. It ain't that bad now just want better.

Honestly, adjust it both ways. See what works. Usually my triggers end up with some pretty odd and unorthodox adjustments. 



The quattro trigger on my nova star, I've been able to make literally about 10x better than how it came. There was some type of weird weight in mine that provided resistance. Bin it. Just makes the trigger mushy

The best way to adjust these is to remove the action from the stock. There is a small window in the triggers side plate to view sear engagement. A slightly longer screw may be required to achieve the desired amount of engagement.

Don't forget to "bump test" to assure the adjustment does not render the rifle unsafe.
