Quadrant target attempt

I have always wanted one of the quadrant targets. I usually make targets for myself. I decided this weekend to try making one. Once upon a time I thought to be able to make anything from a picture. It was a tough job for me as I am getting older I make errors that I never dreamed I would make. If I had to figured my hourly wage we could get a good laugh at its final price. It was basically free everything was old metal that came from my junk pile. The price they sale for are a bargain!

Nice one! Looks very well thought out. Should last you for awhile. I have problems doing things these days myself. It's bad to not to even understand something you built a few years back. Like electric bikes and charging/balancing systems. I look at them and think to myself how on earth did I ever figure that out? ;^) Age and brain damage play their part.

I built this some years back. It even werqed when I was done with it! I have no idea how I managed.

I cut out the pieces. Clamped them to my bench with plates underneath to keep the pipes centered then welded the pipes on the quadrants. I dont plan to make another but if I did I think I might try by welding the 5/16 square plate to the pipes with only the cut out for the center circle. Then weld to the frame so all would be square. Then cut the remaining cuts to make the separate quadrants. My thinking is to avoid the squaring and welding of all the small pieces. Just a thought to anyone wanting to build one. I am sure steelpinkers made up a jig that all fit in to weld up. If anyone makes one. Let me know if it was a challenge or if I am just getting old and stupid!
