QD port??

Evening everyone,

I was looking through the instruction book for my recently acquired Umarex Gauntlet 2. Yes, I do spend some time doing that sort of thing. In a reference photo it shows something in the left side of the stock labeled a QD port. Nowhere in the rest of the instruction book is there any mention of this part. I have no idea why it’s there or its use. Does anyone know if it has a use? Thanks.

I've a First-Generation Gauntlet, think QD stands for Quick Discharge. There's a YouTube video on releasing air pressure from the Gauntlet using the included special tool. WM

Here's the assembled degas key that came with my Gauntlet, fits in a slot that looks like a sideways keyhole. Little tricky to use, air blasts out end of barrel, key gets stuck easy, YouTube video was helpful. WM
