Reach out to Jay with Maple Custom Mags, he will tell you the dimensions he needs and can make some mags for you. Thanks all
Poorly functioning mags are frustrating....don't want that.
I have a few Maples for my 250z which work perfectly but they don't make AGT magazines unfortunately. But Orion is on my radar now.
they jam my crown mkII compact hunter and i cant have that !!What happened?
Definitely notthey jam my crown mkII compact hunter and i cant have that !!
got a couple maples and they work just as good as my 2 FX mags.
Because I gave my rifle and magazines for Orion to design the 3D versions back in March. Also the face plate geometric design with the shine is the same as what ORION does to all of his mags. How do you know it is Orion's design? Lots of files on Yeggi and various other sites for magazines. Is it possible the QD_FOX was first?
My point was that the base designs for magazines are all over the 3d web sites. Once you have the base design for the style self indexing magazine then any *new* magazine is a variation on a theme. Adjusting the form factor is not that difficult. Especially with 3d scanners. The basic wheel of caliber and count and spring with a specific frame.Because I gave my rifle and magazines for Orion to design the 3D versions back in March. Original design in the 3d printing world is the exception.

Thanks, yeah I wasnt 100% sure about that. My experience with 3D printing has been one of a kind custom application. More a mask to not print something. It’s not really a "base" design, just like not all cars with four wheels are the same. If you compare his AGT magazine to mine, you’ll see QD is copying my design. Honestly, that's not cool—there’s a real opportunity for innovation in this space instead of imitation. But I digress...
I got some from him for the Notos. Good quality and way more reliable than OEM.I'm considering QD Fox as a source of after market magazines for my AGT U2
How do these stack up against the factory product? The price diffence isn't significant enough that it would trump buying them over the AGT mags (which are very solid and reliable) ....unless they are awesome.
I get what you're saying, there could have a base design out there, but don't just flat out copy it. For the one you sent me, sure it may have a square shape like the other mags but you can easily tell it's their own take on the magazine without even clicking on the link.My point was that the base designs for magazines are all over the 3d web sites. Best way to protect an original design is to register a copyright. Not as expensive or effective as a patent but you have recourse if your design is copied. Unlikely you can get compensation, like with patents, but a simple cease and desist may be effective. But the cost of the C&D can be problematic for low volume/ low margin products.I get what you're saying, there could have a base design out there, but don't just flat out copy it. Gotcha on the example.Best way to protect an original design is to register a copyright. Not as expensive or effective as a patent but you have recourse if your design is copied. The example was literally the first AGT I found. Just to point out that 3d designs are available.
And since this is new, to me, not possible to have known. Obviously new to many others. So unless someone points out the issue how would we know? Do you compare every product to the competition? Of course not, you buy what you need.I wasn't going to address the "similar" design of Fox mags to Orion. I think it is no coincidence, and I belive Orion has done a ton of work providing original designs. You shouldn't need to spend a lot of time and money protecting your own work. As airgun enthusiasts we should respect each other's work.
