Best Ali Express Night Vision optic finds as of July 2025? Has anyone tried any that ended up being worth a sub $250 price tag?

Thermal vs just IR is the sweet spot for me to avoid the need for any IR spotlight.

Use case is: Short range (under 25 yards) - table for 1 - rats on wood fence via pcp notos. Need quick acquisition & accuracy. From seated position so fine with external battery connection for extended sessions.

I got a pard nv 007 that you can put on anything. It works but it's grainy in the eye piece screen, the footage it records is lightyears better than what you get to see. The software sucks for it and so does the battery life even with the illuminator off. I reitred it and got a zulus instead which is better all the way around but it's not in your prescribed price range at all.

I just bought a used Sightmark Wraith Mini 4k...2-16 power with cool FFP recticles....it was $250.00 dollars....Sightmarks are relible...

I have a $60 dollar IR that is the size of a large dot sight, not the best but it works, it is clear but limited functions. I went to the 250 range and got a decent compact setup. The links I used a year ago are gone, but some searching will give you the new choices. I say take that risk
