Pyramid Air now has FX

On no..
Why did you have to post this?
And Why does PA have to offer Affirm [lending] to make purchasing even easier?

It's a good thing that I'm broke as a joke, and can't even afford to 'think about' buying one of these right now. haha

Very cool though!

BIG Congrats to PA!

Sam -

I know what you mean. A friend of mine said the same thing. LOL

I had saved and saved and saved,
and finally got enough together to snag an Impact.. I've wanted one for Years..
Well, when the time came, I was looking at a fist full of dollars vs. 'one gun'.
Plus I saved up for extra accessories..

Instead, I used the cash, and bought a Hatsan Gladius and a Kral Puncher Breaker,
then got a Yong Heng compressor and an 88cf carbon fiber tank, scopes, etc..

All for about the same as what I would have sunk into the Impact and accessories alone..
I still wouldn't have had an air source, etc.. I thought that I did the right thing..
I've been having a blast shooting the guns, and haven't second guessed myself yet..

Then got a Kral Nemesis so I could swap between .22 and .25, but that just sits here..
It's a bit too long for my liking, as I've always been more into bullpups..

Anyways, the Puncher Breaker had to go back to PA the other day for a repair,
so... I freaked out, and impulse bought an Artemis P15 and PP700S-A with extras..

I haven't thought about an Impact - Until Now.. Oh great!

I still have to replace a high end camera lens, and that'll set me back about $1,500.00
so it'll be a l-o-n-g time before I can save up enough to seriously think about an Impact again..

Damn..

Oh wait . . . that's right . . . Affirm!!! hahaha J/K. 🤣

I love my FX Wildcat MK2 in .22. The balance and weight are perfect for me until I put on the ATN 4K then it's a very heavy gun. I use my Athlon Talos the most and yet to do a night hunt with the ATN. I did change out the rail to a Picatinny and use a single mount strap. Yup, bullpups are a great all around gun. I still want an Impact one day.

I have an Impact, I don't need a Wildcat. I don't need a dream line Repeat - I don't need a Wildcat. I don't need a dream line Repeat - I don't need a Wildcat. I don't need a dream line Repeat - I don't need a Wildcat. I don't need a dream line Repeat - I don't need a Wildcat. I don't need a dream line Repeat - I don't need a Wildcat. Actually, I do . . . . .need

Would a Dreamline Lite .22 be a good first air rifle?

I've owned a good number of firearms, but I wanted to get into air guns for a while. Biggest reasons are 1) cost per shot in the smaller calibers, and 2) they're *really* quiet. Only headscratcher for me is the cost of the rifles. Some of these air guns are as much as a higher-end (think LaRue, not H&H) powder burner, but I guess the market is smaller, driving costs up a little.

I was looking at an FX Impact X or an RTI Priest, but the FX's $2k buy-in is a little steep, and the Priest has a bit less support. The Dreamline's trigger is comparable to the Impact's, from what I've read.

I’ll say yes! Usually with a new rifle one should be cautious because the normal defects that will appear, but FX is doing the right thing and standing behind their products. This change everything, 3 years and also transferable is huge, because if later you decide to sell, this is also a point on your favor...

That's what I was thinking. The buy-in is more than a Kral or Hatsan, but if 4 months from now I decide it's not for me, I could likely sell a Dreamline for 80-90% of what I bought it for I figure. And if I keep it, it *is* a good rifle from the few videos I have seen.

edit - Is .22 good for pure paper punching at 50 yards, with only occasionally reaching out to 100? The cost per shot goes way up and shots per fill goes way down in bigger calibers, and I won't likely hunt with it. .177 seems a little too lightweight, though.

It looks like .22 is what you are looking for if .177 looks too light. For hunting I use .25 but also .22 I’m into Iguanas pest control. I’ll never use a .177 vs an Iguana. So it really depends.

For the cost of the ammo, true, .22 it’s a bit more expensive than .177 but not that much, have you check the cost in .25?

For .22 you can get a 500ct for around 10$, with 20$ you will be shooting a lot. In .25 20$ gives you around 350 shots.

I dont want to influence your decision, but I’ll go with .22

Don’t forget Pyramyd Air also now have the RAW HM1000x coming in too. Maybe in March I think their website said. From what I’ve read here in AGN and else where RAW maybe very bite as good if not better than FX. I’ve been admiring the Crown, Impact and the HM1000x for awhile now but just can’t justify the expense for these high end airguns for the type of backyard shooting I do and have time for. I don’t have any bottles or compressors either so my investment is that much higher. So I’m just sticking with the old reliable Prod and hand pump for now. I’m more in the .22 caliber also. It’s cheap enough for casual plinking and target shooting with the option to hunt/pest if I wanted to get into that but I don’t really hunt with airguns and don’t have too many pests in my backyard to worry about.

My FX Wildcat in .22 will be the same as a Dreamline and I can take out squirrels at 100yards no problem. FX guns are very accurate with JSB pellets that's what the barrel is made for.
