I tried some different things with this one, lol. Got this .30 Bobcat used several weeks ago. The modifying I like to do has gotten in the way of actually shooting her.
I shoot Southpaw, so first things first; modify the cheek piece for a lefty. That was simply just some cutting and drill/tap of the plastic piece. I then decided to send the stock and cheek piece off for a hydro-dip. Ordered in a Huma to ensure I have perfect regulation of pressure. Got all that installed with fresh seals throughout ~ I’d rather know for certain I’m good from the start of a project.
Well, I got a wild-hair and decided to go a bit wild! I used some Whink rust/stain remover to remove the factory black anodize on some of the factory bits and the DonnyFL end caps. Once that was done I used Dupli-Color METALCAST Anodized to paint them up.
Picked up the freshly dipped stock and reassembled all. I’m calling her Purple Rain
️. She can shoot too. Groups are 5-shot from 50 yards with 44.75 grained at 880 fps. She’ll be joining me on the road trip to Utah for the RMAC in June. Looking forward to having a blast. Plan for some rainfall up there y’all
