Daystate Purchased a used Daystate Air Wolf CDT .25, Treat or Trouble?

Just purchased a used Daystate Air Wolf CDT .25. Am I in for a Treat or Trouble?

It comes with Optisan 6-24x50 Scope and Donny Fl Sumo moderator. Anyone still shooting one of these? This will be my introduction rifle into the PCP world. It will be used for target and hunting.

Let me know what you think, thanks in advance.
I’m a big believer in treating used gun purchases to a complete reseal. it gives me complete confidence in the rig. Daystate is my favorite brand of air rifles followed closely by Brocock and RAW.

Thank you for the reseal kit advice, I will call them tomorrow and check. I did sign up for a stage 2 tune which includes over all check for factory velocity / power, cleaning of gun, polishing, tunning the regulator pressure and hammer spring/stroke settings to achieve optimum performance in terms of power and shot count, and precision machine lapping of barrel. Thank you again for reminding me of seal kit.

I have an older Air Wolf 25 cal, this gun came with no shroud on the barrel, barrel is a 23” the gun is a little load, with a moderator helps a lot, the stock is made of wood I had it for several years. The gun started leaking. I sent it back to AOA to be rebuilt. I did change the tank out to a carbon fiber and I wish didn’t but as far as the gun goes it shoots great. Where is a guy in Greece that makes a Helliboard for the gun, it makes it easy to program it, mine still has the original board, if the board ever goes out, I would put one in it

This is before I change the tank out.

Are you saying not to change out tank at all ?

Or

Just don't change it out to a carbon fiber one?

Or

If you change it out, change it out with original new one from Daystate?

I am asking cause these tanks do have a shelf life I believe and eventually need to be changed out, or am I mistaken?

AOA never sent the old tank back with the gun, I was concerned with the old tank being out of date
I fill my tanks myself. Since the fill/drain cycles are so low, I'm not concerned with shelf life or published dates. Competition in the EU does require periodic inspections and retirment of tanks over a certain age. Way too conservative, IMO. Most importantly is to inspect the tank for surface damage like scratches and dents. Those are points of high stress and could lead to failure. Otherwise, charge on!

I started scuba diving 35 years ago and am still doing some commercial diving, back in the day I’ve raised small planes, boats and automobiles I still dive in swimming pools to support my air gun hobby I am 69 years old. I have my tanks Hydro every five years. I still have the same tanks still in good condition. You might say I have a conscience I would not sell a gun to somebody that the tank was out of date. I do understand that when I buy an air gun that the tank maybe out of date which most carbon fiber tanks I believe are 10 years.
All I was saying is that I liked the way the gun looked originally

That's the answer I was looking for! "

I wasn't sure if switching to a new tank was giving you problems with the gun or if switching to carbon fiber bottle was giving you problems with the gun. Now I know it was about the look. That is what I was trying to find out from you from get go! Clarity! Thank you!
