I have a Kral PB in 25 and when I take the barrel band off, the barrel drops down about 2mm. So in other words, the barrel band puts a fair amount of upward pressure on the barrel. Not sure if this is normal. I've loosened the barrel screws first etc. to see if it relaxes it but the barrel fits very tightly in the breech so it doesn't matter if the screws are loose or tight - barrel still gets a lot of upward tension with the barrel band on.
I run without the band sometimes butt the barrel bangs against the inside holes of the scope rail structure and I like it secure so I can lean it against trees etc.
Anyone know if all PBs are like this and if it hurts accuracy to run the band?
