Pulled the trigger

I have been interested in PCP's for a while and have been doing a lot of reading. I decided on a HW110. I got it for a great price up here in Canada lower that anywhere I looked. I ordered it yesterday afternoon and just rec'd it at 10:30 this morning. Great service Dan and same for Purolator. Now shopping for a scope and a compressor. I can hardly wait to try it.

Congratulations! I was unfamiliar so I looked up what a HW110 is and it looks like a great gun.

I would also order pellets soon if you have not already. You may know from reviews something about what it likes. If not, I would get a sample pack of JSBs and H&Ns to start. Or I think "straight shooter" has a different sample pack they sell.

I had a hand pump for months before getting a compressor. I am still glad to have them, I have two now. They are a good backup. I think I read your gun has a 200 cc tank which is bigger than my Avenger but smaller than my P35. Not sure I'd want to hand pump it all the time but I would if that was the quickest way to get it shooting.

I really like my Hawke Vantage 2-7 scope and it is very reasonably priced. It's nearly as clear as my others which cost 2 to 3 times as much. I'd love to have more magnification for shooting groups but my group sizes do not seem to suffer from the 7X. They also offer a 3-9 that is only a few dollars more. Definitely want the adjustable AO version. My most recent purchase was a Athlon Talos . I got it in 6-24 but I recommend something starting low in power for all around use. Something like a 3-9 or 4-14. Definitely a nice scope for the money. There are lots of "better" scopes out there so you may be thinking of one of them but, if not, you may want to give these a look. Blackhound is a bit more expensive but gives you a lot for the money, for instance.

Congrats. The Weihrauch's are great guns - not too much yelling and screaming about them on the internet but they are designed and built very well, they are pleasant to shoot and they are accurate. My first was an HW110, which I sold a while back now since I was reducing my number of .177 cal guns at the time. But I missed having a Weihrauch PCP (to go with my HW 30s) and I was recently able to pick up a used .22 cal HW100 Carbine.
