Pulled the Proverbial Trigger - RTI Prophet Performance Compact on way

After months of talking I made the commitment to finally get a RTI Prophet Performance Compact in 22 cal, for the near term it will replace my Taipan Vet Compact in .25 cal. I spoke to Francisco of RTIArms.shop the last couple of days about it and today he told me it in the mail, and should be here by this Thursday.

Although I have the full size version of the Prophet, I doubt you will be disappointed in your choice.
RTI is a sleeper brand. I’ve had them all, FX, AGT, Kaliber, Taipan, etc. Though all are great guns, the ultimate value IMHO is with RTI. Incredibly simple to service and tune.

I ordered the Marauder baffles and they work fine in the RTI, Comes with a spring also,, I could only fit two baffles and the spring in my standard Prophet, But now I replaced my 25 caliber 24 inch barrel to a 20 inch 177 barrel,, So now I got to find out where I put the extra baffles and do some experimenting,,,

What is the baffle mod all about?

Daystate baffles fitted in the Compact apparently does a great job.

Follow the link above and mikevv knows all about it.

A simple washer + spacers arrangement works well but you'll need great centering of the holes in the center of the washer and a tight fit inside the shroud to make perhaps four or fiver 'compartments'. Lots of room!

The Standard shroud can also be fitted on the Compact giving you a LOT OF VOLUME.

Congratulations Man! If you add a buttplate then the eye relief might be awkward. To get a cheek weld aft, towards the shooter, you'll likely need to put the scope as far back as possible and MAYBE use an offset mount.

Not sure about your taste for glass but the BugBuster 3-12 x 32 side focus is a FANTASTIC hunting scope for this gun and will keep it 'lean and mean'.

Two guys here at AGN make a buttplate that offsete things perfectly so you cheek weld can also be behind the magazine.

I ordered the Carm mags and they apparently do not flip flop and I will use all of them including the factory

Get yourself a Wylie silencer no need for a big silencer NOR those baffles. Tested all this silencer is way lighter and 4 inches. No baffles needed WORKS WITH 480 BOTTLE ALSO TEST SHOT COUNT TODAY WITH THE 480 I BET 150 ON THE REG WITH 18 GR AT 910FPS

Does anyone know if someone make a magazine holder for a RTI Prophet?

I have both Carm and Orion magazines. Orion’s mags are early versions, not sure if they have changed any, they hold 18 rounds and load Marauder style. I prefer the Carm 13 shot mags, they don’t stick up as much, and load easier than Orion’s.

I really like the new Magazines the RTI came out with, I ordered three extra from Carm and did not know about the new style and ended up with the old style,,, Oh well..

I have these mags:
1. old RTI
2. new RTI
3. Orion
4. Carm (in the mail, on the way)

I don't know the old RTI from the new, oh well, they work equally well, who cares.

Dropped one of the Orion and it shattered, still have one. Poop happens.

None of them is OK with a cheek weld forward of the magazine.

All of them work fine with a cheek weld aft of the magazine.

NONE of these mags, or my BSA R10, compare to the brilliance and simplicity of the Taipan Veteran mags but they all work.
