FWIW - I just got my shipment of 2K of the .25 Strike pellets. My main gun, Kral Nemesis is on blocks at the moment waiting for custom part to arrive. I went to the trusty M-rod and shot a comparison between the AA domes and the Vortex Strike pellets. Due to afternoon thunderstorm winds, there is nothing to brag about so no photos. However, the initial impression is very favorable for the Strike pellets.

My M-rod and I will usually shoot hole on hole at 40 yards (just for you CC ;)!) for 3 mags on a 3000 psi fill with the AA domes. These Vortex Strike look very similar to the AA, weigh nearly the same and shoot just as well in the windy afternoon at approx 42 FPE. The Vortex have a slightly deeper tail hollow than the AA. I will post a photo when I can shoot in more controlled conditions.

Shoot'em good

I did not get near the results from the Mrod (~42fpe)as I did from the Kral Knight (~32fpe). I will try again when the knight is back in service, and at a lower speed.

I returned all of my ten tins. I opened one and yes, a lot of flashing all over the place. But what turned me off was the misshapen skirts. Of the few pellets I inspected hardly any of the skirts was round and none of them had the same thickness thru out the skirt. And they looked like crap. I didn’t even waste any air trying to see how they shoot. I don’t think they were worth the effort.

Still going around in circles with Hatsan. 5 emails 3 replies but haven’t received a definitive answer of what they’re going to do.

So I sent a few emails to HatsanUSA and finally got an answer. I just received 2 more tins of unusable pellets as they are in the same condition as the ones I ordered. I now have a total of 6 tins of Vortex Strike .30 that are not usable. If I were into casting I could melt them all down and make my own. I don’t think I will ever buy pellets from Hatsan again. Will buy from a retailer with a good return policy.
