PSA - Taking some time off for family

Living in my father's basement. He's 93, so only have a year or two left, almost lost him a couple months ago, but back stronger now. It's tough to be in the basement again, but on the other hand, we will spend his final days together. Much better than the alternative.

One of the WWII veterans, Occupation Forces, Japan.

prayers with you,

With you as well. Thank you to everyone. Lost 3 grandparents and my father in the last 5 years. Hasn't been easy. Tell your father I thank him. I'm a veteran as well and appreciate him and his stories far more than words could describe.

My dad was a side gunner on a B-24 in WWII 42-44 and flew out of a base in Europe, he never talked much about it but mom would tell us little things here and there, think he just seen to much and didn’t want to bring it back up. He enlisted the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

My wife is a Veteran. They wouldn’t take me due to a big head injury i suffered in 78.

A Thank you to those who served and to those who are serving now.

Tough times Troy. It's hard to see them go, but our turn is just around the corner. Our thoughts are with you. Saltlake58. My dad's a vet also. Thought we were going to lose him when he was in his late 80's, then again in his 90's a couple of times. Couple more months and he will be 103. You never know. love them while they are here. Sylvan
