I placed an order with these good people yesterday at 10:22 AM. They are located in Galeton PA. It was shipped by Fed X. I received the package in Summerville SC at 1: 36 PM today. I ordered a Owl Ear front bag for my tri-pod and a pillow bag. Both of these products are made with quality leather and are tightly filled with sand. I will be doing business with this family owned company in the future. Try um. You'll like um.

I own some Protektor bags myself. To save on shipping cost with the bags filled with sand, I ordered them empty. When received, I filled them with small plastic balls, about the size of BB's. Lighter weight and works very well. I found the plastic balls at a local hobby shop.

Order the bags filled. They have great sand, shipping costs are the same. They are great bags, I have several. Will out last me.

Hmmm....when I purchased mine directly form the Protektor site, I saved on shipping cost. Perhaps buying from Amazon, the shipping is the same?

I checked and empty bags are cheaper. I thought they were the same until I placed both in my cart. User error!

i have several protector products . THe front rest is a great piece and almost seems like cheating . with the slippery cloth added . Only thing i can say is the heavy sand is too much, Don't be tempted . The rear bags are just spectacular with regular sand .

I use old handkerchiefs on my bags for slipperiness. An old t-shirt would work also. I like the grip of the bags on my PCP's and PB's.

I bought a different Protektor rest for my handgun. Only intended for use when zeroing the gun.
It’s not that useful to me and I wish I’d gotten something else from them. It is high quality stuff, though.
I agree with the poster who recommended buying it unfilled. The shipping cost for the sand-filled bag was surprisingly high.

Mine has a discreet flap. The manufacturer might fill the bags from a narrow tube with sand being forced in by...yup, compressed air.

I use them as well. The slippery type get dirty easy and snag easier. I use rag or dryer sheets for mine now.

Maybe they use both. The vibration stand would also reveal any leaky spots in the bag (stitches too far apart).

My bags aren't dirty................perhaps I'm not trying hard enough! But, in the interest of keeping this thread alive and current, I'll get them out and shoot. Stay tuned..........

I've got a Protektor rabbit ear bag. Great bag. Order it directly. I bypass Amazon every chance I get. They've backed big tech censorship and put thousands of mom and pop store fronts out of business.
