Tuning Prophet performance tuning

https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/rti-prophet-22-2/

Some info on tuning I there.

Robert Buchanan of AOA gives some advice in there somewhere on what reg pressures RTI recommends for pretty much what you're going for (high power with the 25.4gr MRDs).

I think you'll want a higher reg pressure than 140. With the specimen I had, it was much more consistent that way (at least when the goal is heavy pellets at high speed).

Other than adjusting hammer tension, OEM components/configuration.

Had a play with the hst and with 140 bar reg I get from 880-1067 just on hst

The one I had was capable of pretty high power too, with just the hammer tension. For consistent fps though, it required a higher reg pressure than 140.

But, every gun is different, and if your particular example is shooting how you like it, well that's good news.

So far it's zeroed at 55/56 yard (all I could zero to between the farm buildings out of the wind. But is hitting the same lead mark on a rusty old iron girder. 2 starlings dropped in to feed then a pigeon I nailed the pigeon and left it on n the floor a magpie came in to have a taste of the pigeon but got fed 25.39 grains of jsb. Can't wait to get out at the weekend with my boy and his pup on Some rabbits
