...Maybe I should just pick up a new Prophet performance 22LR while AOA has them on sale for $1438. Not sure if the new coming model is worth the $600 difference???
Buying almost anything on the 'downward slope' of the technology curve will nearly always save you some good money. And the older item, last year's color, etc. will also likely do everything for you that you need it to do. Not getting into 'latest and greatest' purchasing is much softer on the budget. Especially new old stock purchasing, which still has a full warranty.
One just needs to sit down and really analyze the items: Does the new one really give me more that I
need? Of course resale value will be lower since others may be selling the same used gun which you just bought, in order to fund their latest and greatest purchase. So one also has to think about lightly used.
When the AGT Vulcan 3 was announced, I made up my mind right there to get a used Uragan, as I felt some Uragan owners would want the latest and greatest V3 and would need to pay for it. Got both my Standard and Compact at very good prices. And they do everything I need and want them to do.
But take what I say with a big grain of salt - I'm still rockin' an iPhone 6S.
