Prophet 2 news?

I’m interested in how their new valve system works. They’re bragging similar design to the skout airguns with lower reg pressures equaling higher speeds. He also says that there’s no need to worry about hammer preload, and speed can be adjusted purely from reg pressure. Does that mean they’re doing something similar to the leshiy? Or Huben?

I really like my Prophet 25 and I got a 177 barrel for it to big plus, I really wanted a compact Prophet II but with the 2000 dollar price tag, Its a hard one to swallow ,, I think someone is just trying to line there pockets Its not like the gun is made in a high money labor market and high tax country like Sweden ,,, I do think they will sell a few at that price . But I think they over priced themselves out of the big sales and moving a lot of the products... I even emailed them and told RTI that there price was to high, Need to drop it down to 1,500 to 1,600 , But its up to them sell a few or sell a lot. My two cents I would like to hear what others think watching the RTI products , ??????????????????????

They are pretty good with their warranty claims. I had a leaking rear foster that was glued in. If the threads stripped while trying to get it out, they were going to send me a new receiver free of charge. I fixed the foster on my own. I did end up getting a new reg as mine would creep about 10 bar after filling. I put the old reg and a new bottle on my bottle p-rod build and the new reg on my compact. It does hold much steadier and is back to the washer stack vs the heavy guage spring. Those are just parts going out the door with no income in return. There was no, "send me the gun and I will keep it for a month trying to fix it."

I’ve been a RTI guy since the beginning. Was on a waiting list for the original Priest forever because of a barrel availability problem with CZ. Was told CZ prioritizes firearm barrels over airgun barrels. Wound up finally getting a gun when the Priest ll came out. Nothing but praise for the company as I contacted them about some things I felt could be improved. How they handled things was outstanding. I planned to eventually get another gun from them. I skipped over the Prophet because I kinda knew it was just another evolutionary stepping stone from my almost Prophet Priest. Unfortunately their new price tag does not appeal to me either. It’s strange because it’s only $100 more than a Cricket Tactical I had ordered but I guess something happens when you eclipse that $2k mark. I just start looking at other guns. The RTI is not one of them unfortunately.

I just recently picked up a Priest 2 that Vetmx has helped me out with some tuning advice and lighter spring! The gun has really grown on me the last few days. I was also waiting on the new Prophet 2 to be released but not sure about the 2k price tag??? Maybe I should just pick up a new Prophet performance 22LR while AOA has them on sale for $1438. Not sure if the new coming model is worth the $600 difference???

Buying almost anything on the 'downward slope' of the technology curve will nearly always save you some good money. And the older item, last year's color, etc. will also likely do everything for you that you need it to do. Not getting into 'latest and greatest' purchasing is much softer on the budget. Especially new old stock purchasing, which still has a full warranty.

One just needs to sit down and really analyze the items: Does the new one really give me more that I need? Of course resale value will be lower since others may be selling the same used gun which you just bought, in order to fund their latest and greatest purchase. So one also has to think about lightly used.

When the AGT Vulcan 3 was announced, I made up my mind right there to get a used Uragan, as I felt some Uragan owners would want the latest and greatest V3 and would need to pay for it. Got both my Standard and Compact at very good prices. And they do everything I need and want them to do.

But take what I say with a big grain of salt - I'm still rockin' an iPhone 6S.

I recently picked up a Prophet from the classifieds, and also have a Priest 2 with upgrades. I’m very happy with the Prophet, it’s simple, powerful and accurate, and I love that LW barrel. If I win the lottery, I’ll buy every new gun that interests me, but then I’d have to play the lottery first. TMH, I loved my iPhone 6s, I think it’s apple’s best so far. I have a 12 mini now, but use the 6 regularly with my chrony.

I hear ya! I also picked up a Vulcan 3 .30 for a great price off the classifieds to try it out. Out of all my guns I would say 80% I've purchased used. That way I get to try out a lot of different guns, keep the ones I like and sell the others with almost no loss! I think I may put up my Vulcan 3 to pick up the current Prophet????

the new Prophet 2 around 300 more new than I gave for my prophet performance new last year. So the new style valve, newest improved reg, cocking improvement, and the possibility of the new barrel shooting slugs as well as pellets....it might be worth the extra coin.. my thoughts on it anyway. I personally love my Prophet performance with the 22lr barrel... and see no need to to up grade to the latest and greatest... but if they offer a slug barrel kit for what I have now... I will definitely be ordering one
