Tuning Problems with an o-ring on my M3?

I finally got out to shoot my M3. Member JohnnyPDX came by and picked me up and we went out to the range for a nice relaxed day of shooting. Great guy he is. He shot an MOA group at 100 yards, with one of his guns, so was pleased with his progress.

My .30 M3 Sniper came shooting the 44.75 JSBs at 900fps and shot 3/4inch to 1 inch groups at 50 yards out of the box. Well almost out of the box I installed one of the Heavy liners and a carbon fiber barrel liner before I even shot it. I turned the power down a bit and it started shooting 1/2 inch groups at fifty yards but 2 inches at 100 which is not good enough for me. Still I got my new gun shooting and new scope and Glock 43X laser sight sighted in so had accomplished something at least.

So, when I got home I tore into the M3. I stole the mono pod set up off of my old Impact and installed it on the M3 and then put my new grip and picatinny covers on.

Next I pulled the barrel and polished it a bit. While it was out I pulled the bottle and changed out the valve spring for one of the lighter power plenum springs. Then adjusted the first reg again to 150bar this time as the 2nd reg will be set to 125bar for some slug shooting. Somehow when I went to put it back together I managed to tear one of the barrel o-rings and it got stuck in the cocking block. So the barrel was difficult to get back out as I had, cave man style, forced it in in the first place. My bad. Once the barrel was finally out I decided to change the o-ring in the first block out for a 90duro ring to make the barrel more stable. I spent 45 minutes trying to get the new o-ring in it's groove, but was unable, very frustrating it was. Although I had never had this problem before, I thought to myself, "I understand what others have been saying about how difficult some of these are to replace now". Then I got my magnifying visor on and put some more light on the subject. Upon closer inspection I saw that the original o-ring was still in there and in perfect shape. ;^) Oops! Anyway when I poked at the o-ring I was going to replace and it seemed to already be a 90duro as it was fairly hard so I left it in place. ;^)

Seems I was once again I am my own worst enemy when werqing on the gun.

Now I just need to get out o the range again and see if I can shoot the slugs better than the four inch groups a fifty yards it was doing earlier.
