Problem Zeroing my Scope

Hi guys, I need help with my leapers 3-12x44 scope and my marauder rifle. Thing is that when I tried to zero the scope at 10 yds (for step 1) the POI was 7 -8 mil-dots lower, so when I tried to zero I max out the turret. The way I see it my scope is aiming to high so I need a slighlty down angle base or rings. Can you provide a solution here? PS: the scope is mounted on medium profile UTG dovetail rings.

Can I put some tape on the base of the back ring to create a down angle or something? I'm open to every idea out there.

thanks

When I have a rifle doing that. I first swap the rings to make sure they are not doing it.(doesn't help most of the time). And in the past I have cut a spacer out of aluminum drink can and used it. And RWS makes a mount that they tell you to use on their break barrels that I have used. And at times I use the old style electrical cloth tape inside scope mounts.

you have to make sure on a one piece mount that your scope is long enough to fit.

I noticed you posted before I hit post on this. Burris Z rings will do it. they have different degree inserts. and many rimfire guys use them.
