Problem with FX Dreamline Amp reg

I recently added a power plenum to my fx dreamline classic. While the gun was empty I decided to up the reg to 150 bar. I filled my gun back up and the reg stayed at 150 bar overnight. When I shot the gun today I started with a fill pressure of 230 bar. By the time i was down to 210 bar the reg dropped to 140 bar. When it was time to refill from 160 bar back to full the reg was hovering around 100 bar. When i refilled the gun back to 230 the reg went back up to 150 bar. I am assuming one of the internal o rings is bad. I am debating if i should grab a huma reg and swap it out. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Try empty your gun and set your reg to 80-90 bars or half a turn from all the way in. Fill your gun to 230 bars and slowly raise the reg to 150 bars and dry fire a few time as you raise it half turn at a time.

Both @douger and @qball are spot on for current/backup and long term solutions. No Huma needed IMO, AMP is a very fine reg.

I am going to buy some o rings to reseal the reg and try resetting it to a lower pressure so I can adjust it up in small increments. If that doesn’t work i’m just going to buy a huma reg. I have read that a decent amount of people had trouble with the early amp regs.

My Dreamline tube version AMP reg. was inconsistent, no matter all the tuning I made.
Huma reg. sorted that problem.
