The recoil is too strong to do without a recoil pin which was included when i bought the scope. However the holes on my cometa rifle are too small for the recoil pin to fit in. I thought the size of these recoil pins was standard and should fit on any air rifle. Should I return the scope to sender or just manually drill bigger holes? Anyone has experience with similar issues?
Why don't you get new scope mount that has a smaller recoil pin that will fit into the hole rather than drilling a bigger hole that will mess up you gun, drilling would be my last thing to do if it was my gun
can you chuck up the pin in a drill and remove enough material so it will fit, it would be my first choice
but the pin might be heat treated and very hard
you could try to find another dog point set screw that will fit your tubes pin hole, not knowing your mounts, rings are made I have no idea if it metric or inch pattern
