Problem installing fx integrated harmonic barrel tuner

This morning I have been trying to install the integrated harmonic barrel tuner. From all the videos I have seen it should go on to the impact the same way the oem threads on. I have been trying to install the new shroud for a while but it does not seem to line up the same way the oem one does. When looking down the shroud during installation I notice the holes do not line up with the barrel so it seems like the integrated tuner is defective. Seems as though I need to return it. Has anyone else had this issue?

I tried to take pictures but my phone camera can’t focus on the inside of the shroud. I was able to get the shroud to thread on, but only after I removed the liner. Now I need to hit the transfer port with a torch to break it free and shove the barrel in through the back. The fact that I was able to super easily thread the shroud on without the liner kinda makes me lean towards the shroud being off by a mm or 2.

The impact came shooting lights out from the factory. 1/4-1/2 groups at 50 with no tuning. Just wanted to test out the tuner and see if it was worth it.

After nearly 2 hours I finally have my barrel complete with carbon fiber liner and integrated tuner. The carbon fiber liner had to be sanded down in a few spots to fit and my tuner installation was def not as smooth as seen on YT. We’ll see how she shoots shortly, just waiting for the locktite to set

You should be able to screw it on just like the regular shroud screws on. The tuner itself may or may not be at "Zero Position" that is indicated by the small indent but it will adjust just fine using the hash marks for reference.

Congratulations !!!

I wish you a successful assable, tunning, and that the rifle shots accurately and that the obtained tunning satisfy you so you do not have to remake all over again !
